Curriculum

Through all our centres and month to month activities the children are exploring:

  • Pre math skills and numbers
  • Colors and shapes
  • Pre literacy skills, letters and language
  • Sensory and fine motor skills, sand, water, cooking experiences
  • Music experiences through movement and song
  • Gross motor development at our outdoor playground, during our indoor gym time and while skating on the ice rink
  • Social skills, working in a group during story time and circle time activities and games
  • Special in class presentations, local musicians, fire fighters, variety of health professions, etc.

3 and 4 Year Old Class:

This is a great class to introduce your child to the preschool setting as well as for parents who would like their child to have more than one year experience of preschool for their child prior to kindergarten. This class is flexible in its ability to introduce brand new three year olds to a fun learning environment away from mom and dad, but will also provide age appropriate challenges for the older four year olds. Learning curriculum will be slowly introduced throughout the year.

4 Year old Class

Your child must be four years of age by December 31st of the current school year to register in this class. This class starts out introducing the basics of numbers and letter recognition at the very start of the school year. It moves along somewhat faster than the 3/4 year old mixed groups, providing four year old age appropriate activities.
